Charting a Course
42 days, 16 hours, 40 minutes and 35 seconds. That is how long to took French sailor François Gabart to pilot his 100-foot trimaran around the world. He started on November 4, 2017 and completed the trip on my December 17, 2017.
This was more than six days faster than the previous record and the second fastest time outright including fully crewed boats.
Gabart didn’t just take his boat out for a Sunday cruise and decide to sail around the world that day. This lap of the world was the result of many years preparation on the part of Gabart and his team.
A fulfilled and joyous life is similar, it takes planning and effort.
